What if there was a way to express your ideas and direct them to the people with the power to make them reality?
The City of South Pasadena is utilizing a new online platform, Neighborland, to empower local residents and businesses to do just that as part of the City’s General Plan and Mission Street Specific Plan update process.
Neighborland is a social media website that gives local residents and businesses a space to discuss what they want to see in their City, facilitating conversations between community members and City planners. Using a Neighborland account, residents can go to www.neighborland.com/plansouthpasadena to share ideas on important neighborhood improvement projects that should be addressed in the South Pasadena General Plan and Mission Street Specific Plan.
The City of South Pasadena General Plan and Mission Street Specific Plan are the link between the expressed values and vision of our community and the City’s daily decision-making that affect the physical, social, environmental and economic character of South Pasadena over the next 20-25 years. Extensive public involvement is critical for the successful update of these plans to ensure they reflect the needs and values of our diverse community.
More information about this planning process and additional ways to become involved can be found at www.plansouthpasadena.org.
Community members that signup at www.Neighborland.com can help direct the General Plan and Mission Street Specific Plan update by highlighting which areas of South Pasadena need improvement, the types of retail they’d like to see, and the greatest challenges for business owners. There is also an opportunity to share general ideas and insights by adding to the “I want this or that in South Pasadena” form.
