Members of the community were given an opportunity to learn more about alternative fuel vehicles and sustainable, green living during Sunday’s Clean Air Car Show and Green Living Expo at Garfield Park in the city. Several car dealers featured the latest in alternative fuel vehicles, and various booths were set up to provide information about conservation and sustainable living. The award winning film “What is the Electric Car?” was also screened at by a Q&A panel with industry experts. In addition, an Energy Efficiency 101 workshop was held to help residents learn how they can be more efficient with their energy use. Attendees were given an opportunity to enter a raffle to win an electric lawn mower, donated by South Coast Air Quality Management District. Residents owning a plug-in electric vehicles were also asked to put them on display during the event.
