It was a night full of laughter and fun as the South Pasadena Middle School PTA presented its 13th annual Fathers’ last Friday night. top, left, Perry Li sang “Danny’s Song,” while the Band Dads, featuring Pat Mcyntire, Chris Kramsch, Robert Conte, John Dephouse, Herb Shon and Ed Donnelly, performed “I Won’t Back Down.” The event, emceed by professional comedian Gary Rolin, below left, featured singers, dancers, bands, comedians, and skits, with the twist that all performers must be male. All entertainers were dads, grandfathers, uncles, teachers, friends or school administrators. Opening the show, above, were the “Singing and Dancing Dads,” including the talents of Bill Buckley,Andrew Berk, Bill Michels, Julian Petrillo, Steve Rossi, Cameron Huntley, Rich Fineza, Wayne Busick, Scott Parker, Steve Leider, Micheal Lejeune, Mario Hernandez, Luis Ramirez, Dave Kubela and Kris Johnson. Below right, the D.U.D.E.S. performed Wes Coast Old School Abstract Hip Hop Collective. Bottom, taking part in a “To Tell the Truth” skit included South Pasadena Educational Foundation President Scott Moe, SPUSD Superintendent Geoff Yantz, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Dave Lubs, Executive Director of Student Support Services Dennis Lefevre, South Pasadena Principal Dave Kubela, and SPMS teachers Dean McCoy and Eric Hilger.
