KIDS WEAR RED – Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country and is being recognized in South Pasadena schools this week. The National Family Partnership organized the first nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign in 1988. Since that time, the campaign has reached millions of U.S. children. While the program is designed to protect children from the dangers of alcohol and other drugs, South Pasadena schools have expanded it to encourage students to make good choices in their decision making. Above Marengo students showed plenty of red in celebration of the cause.
