Known for their friendly rivalry, including a bowling tournament and golf classic, South Pasadena Rotary and Kiwanis are reaching out to host a South Pasadena community drive to support US Marine Corps families at Camp Pendleton.
With more than 500 births each month and 5000-plus children under the age of 6 on the base, according to Marine officials, there is a need for new and gently used baby, tot and household items.
Assisting in the drive, slated for February 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South Pasadena Fire Department. on Mound Street will be the City of South Pasadena, South Pasadena Fire Fighters Association, The MOMS for Community, Rotary Interact and Kiwanis Key Clubs.
Providing packing boxes will be Rotarian Joe Kroening of Andy’s Moving & Storage
Donation items should include new or clean and gently used. No books or furniture other than playpens)
