Yuki Cutcheon and Jean Zenas, co-chairs of the “Yes on SP” Committee, will discuss the South Pasadena Unified School District $98 million bond measure at Saturday’s meeting of Women Involved in South Pasadena Political Action.
Superintendent Geoff Yantz will be available to answer questions from the community.
The bond measure, which will appear on November’s ballot, is seeking $98 million over 30 years for campus improvements at all five of the district’s campuses, including air conditioning repairs, the removal of hazardous materials and earthquake retrofitting. It would require a simple majority to pass.
The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. with coffee, refreshments and conversation and the speakers will begin their presentation at 9 in the basement of Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1050 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena. All interested members of the community are welcome. For more information about the meeting, visit www.wisppa.com.
