The Rotary Club of South Pasadena held its “Suds and Chili” fundraiser last Saturday, at the War Memorial Building. Many came out to enjoy the event, co-sponsored by the City of South Pasadena. Guests were able to sample homemade chili prepared by Rotary members and others. There was also a beer tasting from craft brewers, including Iron Triangle, Mammoth Brewing Co., Fireman’s Brew and Congregation Brewing. A wine tasting was provided by Mission Oaks Wine, Kingston Family Winery, and California Fruit Wine. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to support Rotary’s local community projects and an international project in April, 2017 where Rotarians will travel to Tecate, MX and build a house for a deserving family.
