RUSH-HOUR RUN-IN
This two-car accident at the busy intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Monterey Road tied up morning rush-hour traffic last Friday, as South Pas police closed the junction while they investigated the wreck. THEFT

1-9-20, 4 a.m. to 2 p.m., 800 block of Orange Grove. ’08 Toyota Prius. Suspect(s) removes loss from victim’s vehicle. LOSS: Catalytic converter.

•1-9-20, 5:14 p.m. to 1-12-20, 4:40 p.m., 1100 block of Pine. Suspect(s) gain entry into victim’s vehicle through unknown means and take loss. LOSS: Cell phone, handheld radio.

•1-13-20, 6:10 p.m. to 7:20 p.m., 1400 block of Huntington. Suspect takes loss from victim’s drawer. LOSS: Lockbox.

IDENTITY THEFT / CREDIT-CARD FRAUD / CHECK FRAUD

1-10-20, 3:24 p.m. to 4:44 p.m., 2100 block of Hanscom. Suspect(s) use victim’s information to obtain two loans.

STOLEN VEHICLE

•1-7-20, 5:35 a.m. to 5:55 a.m., 1300 block of Gates. ’15 Ford C-Max.

•1-9-20, 5:37 p.m. to 8:07 p.m., Pasadena/Arroyo. ’09 Honda Metropolitan.

•1-10-20, 5:54 a.m. to 7:36 a.m., 600 block of Park. ’15 Toyota 4Runner (recovered by LAPD Hollywood Division).

•1-10-20, 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., 1100 block of Huntington. ’92 Nissan pickup.

ASSAULT

1-9-20, 10:11 p.m. to 10:40 p.m., 1600 block of Fletcher. Suspect and victim are acquaintances and get into an argument. Suspect chokes victim, then leaves.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

1-10-20, 12:56 a.m. to 1:21 a.m., 1100 block of Windsor. Suspect enters victim’s unlocked residence and takes loss. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, white or Hispanic, 25, 6 feet, 180 pounds, wearing a white or gray beanie, long-sleeve blue shirt and dark-colored pants, carrying a black backpack. LOSS: Camera, camera lenses, external hard drive, laptop, backpack, notebooks.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

1-7-20, 7 p.m. to 1-8-20, 5:30 a.m., 100 block of Pasadena. Suspect(s) gain entry into business by using an unknown tool to pry open a rear door. LOSS: Computer equipment.

AUTO BURGLARY

1-11-20, 10 p.m. to 1-12-20, 5:15 a.m., 1400 block of Monterey. ’13 Ford Flex. Suspect(s) smashes window to victim’s vehicle to gain entry and takes loss. LOSS: Backpack, cell phone, cash.

VANDALISM

•1-10-20, 7:29 p.m. to 7:49 p.m., 1000 block of Fremont. Subject damages a wall light fixture. SUBJECT CITED: Female, juvenile.

•1-10-20, 7:29 p.m. to 7:49 p.m., 1000 block of Fremont. Subject smashes multiple glass doors with a pan. SUBJECT CITED: Female, juvenile.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

•1-8-19, 7:40 a.m. to 8:08 a.m., 1100 block of Fair Oaks. Officer responds to a call regarding a subject drinking in public and finds suspect to be under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 59, Los Angeles.

•1-9-20, 11:15 a.m. to 11:48 a.m., 1300 block of Fair Oaks. Officers respond to a call regarding a subject lying in front of a business and find suspect to be under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, white, 30, transient.

DUI

1-12-20, 5:08 a.m. to 6:12 a.m., 600 block of Orange Grove. Officer responds to a call regarding a vehicle parked in a red zone and finds suspect to be driving under the influence of alcohol. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 32, Pasadena.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA ON SCHOOL GROUNDS

1-9-20, 11:45 a.m. to 12:07 p.m., 1400 block of Fremont. Subject brings marijuana onto school grounds. SUBJECT CITED: Male, juvenile.
