The South Pas girls varsity water-polo team is on a three-game losing streak after dropping games to The Bishop’s, Santa Monica and Tesoro on Thursday and Friday and move to 1-5 on the season.

The Tigers lost to The Bishop’s 21-2 in the first game of the Villa Park Tournament on Thursday, then lost back-to-back games Friday — 17-5 to Santa Monica and 20-8 loss to Tesoro.

Head coach Michael Gonzales said the Tigers knew the tournament was going to be challenging for them because the other schools are more experienced, but also because the team played five games in four days.

“The game against Bishop’s was as we predicted,” he said. “Bishop’s really jumped up early against us, and quite frankly, the game could’ve been worse. … The Santa Monica game, I thought really, that was the first game where we looked mentally and physically exhausted.’’
