Young Stars Theatre is performing the 10th year of their original adaptation of the beloved “A Christmas Carol” as they celebrate their first anniversary of residency at Fremont Centre Theatre. And in more exciting news, they have just signed a lease agreement to be at FCT through at least 2019!
This version of the Christmas Eve story of the miserly Scrooge and his night of visitations is a delightful evening of magical storytelling for the whole family. Two narrators playfully walk us through the events as they sometimes jump into the scenes themselves. This year, artistic director, Jack J. Bennett, takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the traditional cast and has a ball with the multiple layers of the role, while Spenser Gerard plays Scrooge in the youth cast.
Elliott Scott and Abijay Chopra play the touching role of Scrooge’s nephew, Fred, with YST familiar faces Diego Maureira and Jack Wisinski playing the pivotal role of Bob Cratchit. The darling Margeaux Reign is back as the ever optimistic Tiny Tim. The rest of the terrific cast, many playing multiple roles, is rounded out by Weslie Lechner, Eadan Franklynn, Scott Cullen, Rannyn Stephens, Victoria Montoya, Giovanna Bush, Jasmine M-E, Frances Torres, Gabriel Bomfiglio, Matteo Espinoza, Ajla Cehajic, Aisling DeVilla, Tierra Roris, Asia Ring, Ariel Cohen, Aine Lee, Clare Lahey, Ellia White, Andrew Colarusso, Delaney Lehman, Landyn Rosemond, Stephanie Harvey and Jacob Nathaniel.
So bundle up the family for a holiday evening full of singing, dancing & merriment at Fremont Centre Theatre!
