The Arroyo Vista Elementary School welcomed parents to an early-morning breakfast event last Wednesday. The annual gathering resumed in person for the first time since 2019 after it was held on Zoom the previous year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students were honored and parents were thanked for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year, with nearly 100 people in attendance.
“It’s our way to express to our parent volunteers how much we appreciate them, how much we acknowledge their hard work and their support and the love that they pour into the students and the school,” said Jennifer Koca, Arroyo Vista Elementary PTA volunteer coordinator. “The school wouldn’t run without these volunteers and so, for us, just to be able to show just a little bit of gratitude, it means a lot to us.
“We are all just so grateful to all the parents, the staff and the teachers — we’re just so lucky to be in a community where we all have a common goal and we can all come together and reach that goal together,” she added.
