South Pasadena High School recently held a mock signing day for 14 athletes who plan to continue their academic and athletic careers in college.
Nik Iwankieu (University of California, Berkeley), Noah Leider (University of California, Santa Barbara), Averall Chen (The Citadel), Zoe Tibbo (Seattle University), Niko Lawrence (California State University, Chico) and Sydney Morrow (University of California, Berkeley) each committed to continuing their track and field careers at their respective colleges.
Alyssa Sokolow committed to playing girls’ volleyball at Maryville College, boys’ diving star Nick Chau will attend Yale University, girls’ golf standout Lauren Calderon will attend the University of California, Davis, and girls’ basketball star Allysan Tse will attend California State University, Fullerton.
DJ Pearson will play baseball at Bard University, Jonathan Guy committed to play basketball at the University of Puget Sound, Leyton Ramos-Platt will continue his tennis career at the Catholic University of America, and Owen Imasaki will attend the Air Force Academy to play boys’ water polo.
