South Pasadena High School Athletic Director Greg Luna just released this sports update regarding the High School’s stellar golfers and volleyball team. Both of which are in the CIF postseason.

“Congratulations to Freshman Lauren Calderon and Junior Victoria Tskvitichili for their impressive performance at the Rio Hondo League Girls’ Golf Finals,” Luna said in a prepared statement released just minutes ago.  “Victoria finished third overall in the two day tournament.  Lauren had a phenomenal combined score of 142 over 36 holes to set a new League record and claim the overall Individual League Title.  Both move on to CIF Individual Championships which begin on Monday, Oct. 22.”

Meanwhile, Luna also released the following public statement regarding the girls varsity volleyball team that has also fought its way into the CIF postseason.

“Girls Volleyball travels to Alta Loma in Rancho Cucamonga tonight at 6:00 p.m. for a first round match,” Luna said in the statement just released.

Stay tuned to the next print edition of the South Pasadena Review for more details and photographs of all the teams that have won a place in the CIF postseason.

CORRECTION: Please note that Lauren Calderon had a combined score of 142 over 36 holes and not 32 as originally reported.
