South Pasadena Police Help Alhambra in Shooting Incident

8:00pm, 11.16.18 – South Pasadena police officers assisted the Alhambra Police Department (APD) today in resolving a work-place shooting incident where a man was shot and killed, according to authorities. There were no other injuries.

The incident was initially reported as an active shooting incident but did not ultimately meet that classification, police said.

Early information is that a middle-aged adult male entered an Alhambra business, The China Press, and shot and killed another man in his 50s, according to Alhambra police.

So Pas police received the call at about 9:36 a.m. to assist Alhambra with the incident. They ensured the surrounding buildings were clear, safe and secure.

The event is over and the suspect is in custody, police said. So Pas had eight units that responded to the incident.

The incident is under investigation.
