NOTICE OF RECRUITMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of South Pasadena is now accepting applications to be considered for appointment to fill a vacancy on the following commission:
NATURAL RESOURCES & ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION
One Vacancy: Partial-term ending 12/31/2019
The NREC acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to energy, science and technology, natural resources and the environment, and to cooperate with other governmental agencies and civic groups in the advancement of the planning, programming, use and conservation of energy and natural resources, as well as preservation of the environment.
Regular meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., Council Chamber.
Applicants must be:
- a South Pasadena resident and a registered voter.
The City of South Pasadena has approximately 20 boards and commissions. Regular appointments are made each year in January. All members are appointed by the Mayor and ratified by the City Council. Terms are for three years and Commissioners are eligible to a second term. Applications may be obtained at the Office of the City Clerk, 1414 Mission Street, Second Floor, South Pasadena or on the web at: www.southpasadenaca.gov/boardsandcommissions.
