Kids age 5-12 can take part in a free basketball clinic, led by the South Pasadena High varsity basketball team and new coach Ernest Baskerville, this Saturday, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

A guest speaker is also expected, said Athletic Director Anthony Chan.

The event takes place at the high-school gym. Parents are asked to email southpashoops@gmail.com to register, as space is limited to about 100 kids, Chan said. As of Wednesday, about 80 had already signed up.
