Ikes Creek is an ensemble that combines the songwriting, bluesy vocals and instrumental skills of Korey Simeone, with guitar and mandolin of Thomas Moose, and co-lead vocals of Cori Cable Kidder. In 1997, Idaho native Simeone found his way to Austin, Texas where he worked with neo-vaudeville outfit, Asylum Street Spankers and bluegrass satirists, Austin Lounge Lizards. Ikes Creek placed first in the best band category at the Topanga Banjo•Fiddle Contest. With a soulful, impeccably tuned voice and crafted poetry, singer-songwriter Alice Howe is “at once of the moment and timeless, personal and universal” (Mark Walton, Americana UK). Her pure, distilled sound reflects a musical sensibility rooted in ’60s folk and ’70s Southern California songwriters. A New England native, she recently relocated to the San Gabriel Valley. Her new album, Visions, offers an intimate snapshot of a young artist discovering her own power.
