Grand Opening of Arroyo Seco Bicycle & Pedestrian Trail

What: South Pasadena officials and residents will celebrate the grand opening of the Arroyo Seco Bicycle & Pedestrian Trail. The trail provides a long-awaited bicycle link between downtown Los Angeles and the greater Pasadena area. It connects to two of Pasadena’s bicycle paths and is a short distance from access to the Arroyo Channel bicycle path in the City of Los Angeles. The $1.8 million project was funded by grants from the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Committee, Los Angeles Regional Parks & Open Space District, Proposition C local return funds, and the City of South Pasadena.

When: Saturday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m.

Where: 1055 Lohman Lane, South Pasadena CA 91030. Parking available near the Arroyo Seco Golf Course.

Photo Op: South Pasadena city officials and community members will “unlock” a large chain across the path, symbolizing a bicycle chain, to allow access to the new bicycle path.
