Dr. Joyce Shaffer was the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of South Pasadena on January 16. She spoke on brain health and specifically about Alzheimer’s and the most recent research on ways to slow its progression and even reverse it. He presentation was very informative and interesting to the membership.

The speaker for the October 23 meeting has not been confirmed yet.

The photo shows Rotary President Dan Watson presenting a book to Dr. Shaffer. As is the tradition of the Rotary Club, the book will be donated to the South Pasadena Library in her name.

The South Pasadena Rotary meets every Tuesday at noon, except for the first Tuesday of the month, in the Tower Room at the Oneonta Church. Meetings on the first Tuesday are held at 6 pm at the Canoe House. There is no program, it is a social.
