Marengo Elementary’s annual Jog-a-thon took place last Friday morning, as students dressed in orange event shirts ran in loops around campus to raise money for a number of beloved events. Science Night, the Talent Show, Movie Night and Art Happenings during recess are all sponsored by Jog-a-thon funds. In 2017, the event raised $11,000. Funds also help with purchasing PTA supplies, as well as supplementing the school’s library and resource centers. This year’s Jog-a-thon was co-chaired by Jim Dowd, Mariela King and Michelle Matsuda.
