More than two dozen art pieces were on display at the Library Community Room from June 13 to 15. The exhibit, “Sanctuary II,” features many of the works that were shown here in March 2018 along with new pieces. It moved to various venues since, according to co-curator Jimmy O’Balles, and returned for a final show.

Due to war and conflict worldwide, many people are forced to leave their homes to seek refuge and sanctuary. As a result, show organizers reached out to artists, writers and poets to express the love, hope and solidarity they have for the people who are living with this fear, according to the event program.       – Sally Kilby
