A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the December 2018 attempted robbery of Vana Watch and Jewelry on Mission Street.

Marcus Harris was detained by deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department during a traffic stop on May 29. SPPD was notified and detectives took custody of Harris and booked him for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

On December 14, 2018, two men entered the business at 1401 Mission Street posing as customers. One of the suspects subsequently drew a knife and pointed it at the owner, demanding all the watches. The owner defended himself against the suspect with the knife, while fending off an attack from the other suspect, who was wearing metal knuckles. Both suspects fled after an employee produced a handgun.

The first suspect, Omar Bradley, was apprehended several days after the incident. Subsequent investigation led to the identification of the second suspect.

If you have any information regarding this incident, please call SPPD Detectives at 626-403-7280.
