South Pasadena Little League last Friday night marked the start of its 66th season with a family-friendly celebration at the Arroyo Seco Fields.

A giant bouncer shaped like a castle stretched across the grass while a Majors game featured baseball action on an adjacent field. Parents set up face painting stations next to corn cob booths. And snack stands competed with grills as dinner options. Parking was impossible to come by.

66 years after its inception, SPLL is still thriving.
